Swing by Emory this month for Brave New Works and catch some exciting new theater by local playwrights and invited guests from around the country. I will be showing some extremely new work on Saturday February 6th at 7PM: selections (or maybe a first draft--no promises) from THE MYSTIC a play about an aging senile matriarch who believes she is a 12th century Christian visionary and an 8 year-old 12th century German girl whose visions of the future are scaring the crap out of everyone around her.

All events are free and open to the public, but reservations are requested and can be made by following the event links to the Arts at Emory calendar.

Really looking forward to spending two weeks in utopian splendor as one of three playwrights invited to Serenbe Playhouse's inaugural New Territories Playwriting Residency where we'll be starting work on brand new site-specific plays inspired by our Chattahoochee Hills environs. You can learn more about this brilliant new program on the Playhouse website. While you're poking around, make sure to check out the AIR Serenbe website for information on existing Artists in Residence programming and to learn more about this weird and wonderful community just south of Atlanta, go here: Serenbe.
